Century Auto Service

We can’t say enough good things about Century Auto. Our alternator failed on the way to vacation, and they graciously took us in as an emergency appointment. Everyone was incredibly kind, accommodating, quick, and fair. They knew we were in a tough spot and went out of their way to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. We’re incredibly grateful for the way they treated us and would highly recommend them to anyone!

I had been dealing with ongoing coolant issues and was very stressed about my car. The team at Central Auto Service took the time to properly diagnose the problem, explain the repairs, and get everything fixed. They replaced the necessary components, kept me informed throughout the process, and worked with my warranty company to make things easier. Since the repair, my car has been running smoothly, the temperature has stayed normal, and the A/C is working great. I appreciate their professionalism, honesty, and quality workmanship. It’s a relief to drive without worrying about overheating anymore. Thank you to everyone at Central Auto Service for getting me back on the road safely. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy auto repair service.

Century Auto was recommended to us about 6 months ago. We have used them twice and each time they simply amazed us. On both occasions the final bill was less, significantly less, than the estimate. In our experience, that is rare in the auto repair industry. They don’t try to upsell you, and if repairs aren’t needed, they tell you The people that work here understand customer service. They are friendly and constant communication is outstanding These guys have earned our loyalty and we will keep coming back. Highly recommend giving them a try. Robert S.

I hadn't been here in years since my truck was only needing recall service at the dealership. But came by Century Auto for service today and still received the awesome service I remembered. Down to earth explanation of options with affordable prices. Dave was awesome and I was glad to see that Chuck is still there! Marty would be proud!

I want to share my recent experience to warn others about what I believe to be highly deceptive and unethical practices at this inspection station. I was charged $175 for a Maryland State Vehicle Inspection, even though their website still lists the price as $75–$80. This price discrepancy was never communicated upfront. What’s worse, the sign displaying the $175 price was only posted after I had already been charged—and after 30 days had passed. It was not present during my initial visit, suggesting that the change was either not in effect at the time or deliberately hidden. When I questioned the inflated price, I was told that “the state of Maryland requires it”—a completely false and misleading claim. The Maryland Vehicle Administration does not set or mandate inspection pricing; each station is free to set its own fees. This business used false advertising, misleading explanations, and post-dated signage to justify overcharging. Their behavior is not only dishonest, but it also wastes customers’ time and hard-earned money. I strongly advise anyone in need of a vehicle inspection to avoid this shop and seek out a transparent and reputable alternative. Always verify pricing b
